What is MPAGS?
It is an organization oriented toward unifying graduate students throughout Maryland and surrounding areas. MPAGS is dedicated to supporting fellow students in their collective development as leaders and advocates for the field of psychology. MPAGS strives to enhance the professional development of graduate students of psychology by providing opportunities in leadership, networking, research, presentations, and scholarships.
Membership If you are a student member of MPA, then you are automatically a member of MPAGS. If you are not, then joining MPA is easy, and costs only $25 - a yearly fee that brings benefits throughout your entire graduate student career through the post-doc supervision year. With an MPAGS membership, you receive the benefits described, plus special opportunities that are available to students.
MPAGS Leadership MPAGS is run by a group of officers who are newly elected each year. We are dedicated to helping student voices be heard. If you have any concerns, questions or comments, do not hesitate to contact us. To be eligible to run for an elected position: a) you must be a member of MPAGS and b) you must be a current graduate student in good academic standing and have at least one year remaining before graduation (at least two years if running for the President-elect position). Brief descriptions of the MPAGS officer positions are listed below.
