The Maryland Psychological
Association (MPA) is the statewide Professional Association for Maryland
Psychologists. It is affiliated with the American Psychological
Association.
Its purpose is to advance
psychology as a science, a practice, and a means of promoting human
welfare. MPA is governed by its members through the Board of Directors, which is constituted of officers and representatives elected
by the members and board chairs appointed by the elected members.
The Board of Directors meet monthly to set policy for the Association.
