     Currently we are hiring a FASAP Clinical Psych Therapist. The FASAP Clinical Psych Therapist provides dual functions within the institution, serving both individuals and the organization.

     As a clinician, this person provides individual clinical services to faculty, staff and their family members that includes:

  • Evaluation
  • Counseling for problems of daily living
  • Diagnostic assessment and referral to health care / mental health providers and programs
  • Care coordination, triage with health plans and care management
  • Crisis assessment and intervention

     As a clinical consultant, this person will fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Working closely with human resources, departmental leadership, managers, general counsel, occupational health, security and other relevant internal programs, as an advisor on sensitive and/or high-risk employee situations
  • Making decisions about the safety of the workplace and the continued employment of individuals
  • Consulting with managers on how to behaviorally manage troubled employees, as well as group support and debriefing
  • Sharing on-call responsibilities within the clinical team and reporting directly to the Director

      Requirements:

  • LCSW-C

The Forbush School

Starts July.  Our Forbush School in Glyndon, MD is a 12-month private school serving children and adolescents who need cognitive and behavioral therapy while pursuing their academic or vocational track.  The position will include provision of individual and group psychotherapy, occasional psychological assessment, behavioral management and treatment planning for students.  The Fellow will work together with a multi-disciplinary treatment team and have opportunities to attend didactic seminars and grand rounds presentations. Experience with treatment in a school or residential setting is preferred but not required.

Center for Eating Disorders

Starts September.  Two openings.  Our Center for Eating Disorders provides an elegantly-appointed setting for patients and families who need nutritional guidance and counseling.  Clinical responsibilities will include provision of inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient individual and group psychotherapy as well as psychological assessment.  Other opportunities may include supervision of psychology graduate students, family therapy, program development, and participation in research.  Previous experience with  eating disorders preferred though intensive training is provided. Competency in CBT required.
