POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIPS IN MILITARY SUICIDE PREVENTION AND PSYCHOTHERAPY RESEARCH:  (27 Hours/Week)  The Henry M. Jackson Foundation is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to work in the Laboratory for the Treatment of Suicide-Related Ideation and Behavior at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland.  Primary responsibilities will involve dissemination of clinical care in the context of randomized clinical trials to military personnel within an inpatient psychiatric setting: (1) consenting study participants and administering psychological assessment batteries; (2) providing manualized psychological interventions (i.e., Safety Planning as well as Cognitive Behavior Therapy) for the prevention of suicide; (3) participating in individual and group supervision; and (4) performing other study related tasks. Travel to two study implementation sites, the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (Bethesda, Maryland) and the Ft. Belvoir Community Hospital (Ft. Belvoir, Virginia) will be expected. Evening and weekend hours as well as a flexible schedule are required for these positions. Preferred schedule options are as follows:

CLINICAL ASSISTANT PROFESSOR AND PSYCHOLOGY DIVISION DIRECTOR:  THE DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY AT LOYOLA UNIVERSITY MARYLAND invites applications for an Assistant Clinical Professor to serve as Division Director for Psychology at the Loyola Clinical Centers beginning June, 2013. The Psychology Department offers B.A., M.S. (clinical or counseling), and Psy.D. (clinical-APA accredited) degrees in psychology. The Loyola Clinical Centers (LCC) offers affordable, quality services in the areas of psychology, pastoral counseling, literacy, hearing, speech, and language to underserved members of the greater Baltimore community, and provides hands-on clinical training to Loyola graduate students in their respective divisions. 

     The Division Director is the primary administrator for Psychology at the LCC responsible for developing and implementing clinic policies and procedures, coordinating curricula and services that support the learning aims and training goals of the graduate programs in Psychology, and implementing LCC strategic initiatives including marketing and public relations as well as grant development and writing.  In addition to these administrative duties, this 12-month appointment includes teaching the equivalent of 3 courses per year (primarily supervision of graduate students at the LCC), and service to the department and university. 

The successful candidate must possess:

(1) an earned doctorate (Psy.D. or Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology;

(2) a license as a psychologist in the state of Maryland;

(3) strong communication, organization, and leadership skills;

(4) an aptitude for or experience with working in an interdisciplinary setting;

(5) experience supervising graduate students in psychological assessment and psychotherapy;

(6) a commitment to mentoring students in their professional development; and
