Telling one’s story through written words can provide vital material for growth. Through creative writing prompts and exercises geared toward the needs of the group members, through sharing and discussion (no critiquing) members will gain support and self-understanding. Finding one’s voice can help to increase self-awareness, inner-strength and increased resources for coping.
