The coronavirus pandemic forced thousands of child and adolescent psychologists to rapidly adjust their practice overnight. Virtual play therapy became a universal therapeutic go-to to maintain a supportive and healing therapeutic space during an unprecedented time. Since this method of service delivery remains in its infancy stage, many psychologists would benefit from additional guidance to navigate this modern play therapy platform competently and ethically. This workshop will serve as a guide for psychologists to creatively implement digital interventions based on their chosen clinical approach. Psychologists will be encouraged to identify their core theoretical foundation to assist with conceptualization of problem behaviors and choice of appropriate virtual play therapy interventions. Psychologists will also learn how to implement online, digital interventions to traditional, in-person playrooms to meet the modern child where they are in a digital era. Ethical considerations, diversity factors, and limitations will also be explored.

 After attending this workshop, attendees will be able to 

• Apply clinically sound virtual play therapy interventions based on theoretical framework and client problem behavior 
• Identify two diversity factors and two ethical considerations when navigating the virtual play therapy platform
• Demonstrate application of digital tools via virtual play therapy and transition of these interventions back to in-office therapy sessions
